Packaging Commodity Project Buyer

We are seeking a dynamic person who is ready to travel and experienced in packaging procurement on strategic level.
The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and working closely with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate projects by involving stakeholders to align the scope and objectives of the project.
  • Create comprehensive project plans from initiation to implementation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, ensuring all relevant parties are engaged at appropriate times throughout the project.
  • Coordinating with vendors, aligning vendors’ project plans with our own, scheduling meetings, obtaining proposals, answering questions, and facilitating the contracting process.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify key suppliers from our existing panel and scout new suppliers to challenge incumbents.
  • Lead all interactions with key suppliers.
  • Lead complex and large-scale tenders, conduct fact-based negotiations with suppliers using advanced tender assessment analytics.
  • Review and select suppliers with whom we can build long-term customer/supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate, draft, and finalise multi-year contractual agreements establishing strong commercial and legal contract terms.
  • Lead and develop supplier management initiatives, such as identification and tracking of KPIs, business review meetings, and savings initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ procurement experience including extensive and demonstrable track record in procurement best practices and contract management
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a benefit
  • Master degree or equivalent in relevant field such as Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management
